My name is Johnnie DeGiorgi and I am running for the democratic candidacy for Charles County Commissioner representing District 2.

I have lived in western Charles for many years.

I feel strongly that elected officers MUST respond to the needs of the citizens.

I feel strongly that government, like any family, needs to define a budget and live by it. We have to decide between wants and needs. It tight economic times, like now, we need to focus on needs.

As I move on to the next stage of my activity in the community, I want to remind everyone that what makes the USA great is that we vote on ISSUES.  This election is about our future.  It is not a popularity contest. It is not a sporting contest.  We either continue on our current path or vote to change our direction.  We need  to preserve our county and our heritage.                    Johnnie
